SPRING CAMPS:
cOME ON OUT AND WORK ON SIDELINE CHEERS, TUMBLING AND STUNTS WITH LEYC COACHES TO PREPARE FOR THE FALL SEASON.
FALL SIDELINE CHEER:
CHEERLEADERS WILL CHEER FOR 8 (FALL) REGULAR SEASON GAMES PLUS PLAYOFFS.
THEY WILL LEARN BASIC CHEERS AND BEGINNER LEVEL STUNTS AND TUMBLING.
FALL CHEER TEAMS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN END OF YEAR SHOWCASE, EXPO OR COMPETITION.
Age’s we Offer:
Ages 5-6-7
Ages 8-9
Ages 10-11
Ages 12-13
- Attend cheer events including practice, games, fundraisers, team bonding events, and end of
season celebration.
- Provide notice if you are not able to attend any cheer events (text or voicemail). Repeated
absences may result in not being able to cheer during a game, half time cheer, or
exhibition/competition.
- Arrive to practice 10 minutes before each practice.
- Arrive 30 minutes prior to each game.
- Wear cheer shoes to practice and games. Cheerleaders not in proper cheer shoes will not be
allowed to stunt and may not be able to cheer at games.
- Wear the assigned uniform for each game. Not being in proper uniform may result in not being
in the line up to cheer. (Sitting during the game)
- Be coachable, LISTEN, and participate – do your BEST at all times.
- Participate in team fundraisers.
- Cheerleaders must wear their hair up if it is longer than their chin or in their face while
practicing.
- Nails must be short.
- No gum or food is allowed during practice or games.
- No jewelry may be worn during games or practice.
- Always pay attention. If you’re not paying attention, you or your teammates may be injured.
- Be enthusiastic and encourage your teammates.
- No horseplaying or chasing each other.
- No stunting without a coach present and spotting.
- Do not wander off during games or practice.
- No bullying, excluding other teammates, or being rude to your teammates and/or coaches.
- No talking when the coach is talking.
- No playing on the equipment.
- No energy drinks, water only!

- Understand that issues or concerns will not be addressed until 24 hours after the issue has
been raised. This gives everyone time to think about the situation before reacting.
- Understand that only cheerleaders and coaches are allowed in the practice areas or on the
practice mats. Please always keep siblings with you. They are NOT allowed to use any
equipment, play ball, or be on the cheer mats while teams are using the facilities.
- Please do not ‘coach’ your child from the sidelines. Let the coaches do their job during both
practices and games.
- Make sure your child’s hair is up and fingernails are always short, this is also a safety issue.
- Do not allow your child to eat or chew gum during practice or games. Breaks will be given
however cheerleaders should refrain from eating until after the game/practice. A small snack is
acceptable during breaks or halftime (if time allows).
- Make sure your child has water during practices and games. We will be working hard and taking
water breaks to avoid dehydration. This is especially crucial during hot weather.

- Send out reminders with dates, times and location of practice and games each week.

- Liaison for parents and coaches.
- Respectfully listen to parents’ concerns and remind parents of the 24-hour rule.
- Share parent concerns with the coach. It is NOT your responsibility to resolve parent issues or
concerns.
- Assist with team bonding events, end of season celebrations, and other events as they arise.
- Assist coach to make sure all contact information and medical information is current for all
cheerleaders.
- Help organize posters and spirit noise makers for use at games.

Q: What are the ages for Elite Cheer?
